Picktastic Beta Launches

Brandon and I are ecstatic to announce the launch of our new sports-focused social networking website, PICKTASTIC!

PICKTASTIC is a competitive sports pick 'em website which challenges members to compete not just against their friends for a particular sport, but also against the rest of the world across many major sports.

We just launched the Beta of our new website this past weekend, and would like to invite you to be among the first to take part in this exciting new community. Participation is easy!

1. Go to: http://www.picktastic.com
2. Click on the orange "Join Now" graphic and fill out the brief registration form. We collect some specific information about you that we plan to incorporate into some fun features down the road, but we promise we won't spam you or distribute your information to anyone else.
3. Now you can go pick games! Pick a sport that you like from the top navigation to see some upcoming games. See those glassy buttons? You click the on the one for the team you think will win. There's no need to submit or refresh the page, it saves your pick for you automatically.
4. You can then click on the scoreboard with the team scores, or the number of Picks, Comments and Wagers to view more information about the game you just picked. You can see cool stuff like which other people picked that game, people who bet their points on the game, and what kind of trash people are talking to try and back up their claim that their pick will win.
5. When the game is over, come back to picktastic.com and see how many points you scored. Your record and ranking also gets updated every week, and if you do really well, you might even show up on one of the Leaderboards to showcase the top Pickrs!

That's it, it's easy! There's lots of other great content to check out as well, including the ability to Wager your Points against other Pickrs. So after you've made your Picks, take some time to explore the site and make some new friends.

If you're wondering what we mean by "Beta," it means that since our idea and website is so new, we'll be making quite a few changes to it to make sure we get things right. Sometimes this might mean changes to how a certain feature works, and in many cases, the addition of new features and cool things you can do with the website. Sometimes, though, there might be some bugs. If you encounter any errors, bugs, or simply stuff with that site that just seems funny and not how you think it should work, please drop us a quick e-mail at: contact@picktastic.com. We don't always catch everything, and with your help, we can make this website the best it can be.

Lastly, we know there are tons of people out there that love sports. You might even already be thinking about other people you know that already do stuff like this, whether that's with Fantasy Sports, or even existing Pick 'Em websites. Please tell your friends and family about us, and encourage them to sign-up and start picking. The website is going to be a lot of fun as the community grows, and spreading the word is a huge part of that.
