another march

its funny to look back at the last year and see what you've accomplished. for me, i still haven't grown accustomed to capilazing letters for blog entries.

seriously, though, i took a gander back at my posts of march 2005 (which was one of the more fruitful months for posts), and found myself getting excited about all of this Web 2.0 stuff like RSS and AJAX, and while i was dreaming about all that, i kept refining my skills at becoming a zen guru.

now that i am enlightened in the ways of css (probably an overstatement), and have had a fun ride with RSS and AJAX, whats next? well, i haven't created anything personally with web services, so i'm about half-way done writing a windows app in C# to interface with some web services i wrote in php to manage elan3. after another few days of coding, though, that should be all wrapped up. at work its been a wild ride doing XML Stylesheet Transformations into HTML and PDF, so thats been heavy on the headsponge.

whats the next horizon? my first thought is to take advantage of the newly-released AIM SDK. aim clients for the web are a dime a dozen, but what about web aim bots? my idea involves some bots.. some trivia.. and some web online leaderboards. that would be pretty sweet. but im still in the idea conception phase. i havent even looked at the documentation for the SDK yet.

the other idea involves some intense blogging and a port/revamp of my CMS to use the neorati front-end to make a tech blog with trojan. this endeavor would require a lot of time, effort and maybe some money, but it could finally net that coveted user-base we both have been wanting to create for a long time now. so thats it. just another random assortment of thoughts from the elan blog...
